    University of South Alabama (USA) Laboratory of Infectious Diseases (LID)

    The University of South Alabama (USA) Laboratory of Infectious Diseases (LID)—initially contracted during its early development phase as the Specialized Laboratory Building—was built by the commercial construction firm Flintco, LLC. Fully funded by a construction grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the state-of-the-art facility became active in February 2015 to advance the study of public health and biodefense.
